Week 8 - Belleview

Stake conference was sick, yo. 😆

Haha wow that's one one way to start an email. No but really stake conference was very interesting and I loved it. When I was home I always mourned at stake conference. I always thought that the people who were speaking were old and the talked..... Super.... Slowly... But I really enjoyed this stake conference. It was really cool because Elder Nielson of the quorum of the seventy came down to speak to us. He was a really good speaker and I really enjoyed hearing from him. I also had the opportunity to hear from my mission president as well as his wife. It was interesting to hear what they had to talk about. I feel like everything on Sunday is related to marriage and families ever since the whole gay marriage thing went down. Every talk, every lesson in priesthood, the things in the Ensign. They're all revolving around the subject of marriage. It should be interesting to here from the prophets this coming General Conference. But I really enjoy hearing about this subject and since I've been out here it's really made me think about the qualities that I want in a future wife. I feel like I have more of an idea of who I want to become post mission.

This is also the end of my first 6 weeks that means the next wave of missionaries come in....... Soooooo.... What does this mean!!! I won't be the youngest in the mission!!! It's funny because our entire district is going to be made up of trainers and trainees. So that should be fun. We also had interviews with the president this last week. I really enjoy getting to know my mission president, he's a great guy. He gives me great counsel as well he's helped me with a lot of my concerns, along with the help of my companion.

I'm super excited for this week! We have a temple tour planed with one of our investigators and her mom who is a recent convert so I'm looking forward to showing them around the temple grounds.

Sooooo... Music. Yea, so I enjoy listening to music when I start my day and there's like no music that I could find to listen to and hymns get old pretty quickly sooooooo. I found music on the Lds.org youth page and down below its a good one or at least I think it is. My standards have really dropped off hahahaha. Well I need to go so, I love you all thanks for the support your emails really do make my day. Thank you 😄
I love you guys,

Love,

Week 7 - Belleview

Sooooooo, we started off the week with exchanges which I don't enjoy. But once that was over I came home to Bellevue and had a wonderful experience. 😆 We went up to a house and my trainer said alright "Your sharing the Mormon message". And I really didn't have time to ponder the entire list of videos so I thought well.. Mountains to Climb is a good one. And we walked right in. Once we talked to the lady we found out that she had a overwhelming sickness. She had been going though some rough trials and she was glad to see us. I knew this Mormon message was for her. After we shared it the lady was in tears. She really connected with the video along with the spirit. She was overwhelmed with the spirit comforting her that everything was going to be okay. After we shared this message she asked for a blessing and as we left her husband thanked us for stopping by. I know that the spirit lead my mind to think of a certain video. It's amazing how the spirit works. While I've been on a mission I've thought I wonder if these are my thoughts or is it the Holy Ghost prompting me to share. And really it doesn't matter. As long as we act on our uplifting thoughts while we serve others. We will make a difference in someone's day.

Half way though the week my companion got sick so we stayed home the full day. It felt weird but it's gonna save us on miles. So as he slept I got caught up with writing letters. Shining my shoes and building Legos. I also read the August ensign which is really good. I've never read an ensign before but it was quite up lifting. My favorite articles were: Mission or Money?, Patience: More Than Waiting, The Power of Home Teaching, Going to Dad’s Rescue, My Iron Rod if you have time I'd recommend reading all of them but especially my iron rod. Especially if you are starting college. While I was searching on lds.org I found a really good song. It's a music video named fragile. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching it. (it's down below.) It's a great efy song. Go watch it.

Our investigators are really coming along. We have 4 on date for baptism. And three are progressing really well. I love missionary work, although it is tough. One of our gators only speaks Spanish. It's hard to communicate but I know that he feels the spirit when we're over. And I know that the Holy Ghost is ultimately the true teacher. This past week we brought in a Spanish speaking elder and he taught to him. He loved it. Although I didn't have any idea on what they were saying. I felt the spirit and that what matters. I enjoying seeing the effect that the gospel has on a persons life. I also enjoy letter from friends and family. Emails are great too. I love you guys. Thanks for taking the time to read this I know it must be long and obnoxious to read because of all the spelling/grammar errors. But thank you. And I love you guys. 😄😊😄
